Ms. Sandy Holloway
BESE District 3 Representative

Sandy Holloway is the Executive Director of Bayou Community Charter School, a Type 1 charter school in Lafourche Parish. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently UL) and a Master's Degree plus 30 in Curriculum and Instruction, in Supervision and Administration from Nicholls State University. Mrs. Holloway has extensive experience as a former Lafourche Parish teacher, assistant principal, principal and supervisor and has been recognized as an outstanding educator. She serves on the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as a member of the Government and Public Affairs Committee, the Bayou Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Commissioners as Vice Chair, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Thibodaux, serving on the Board of Directors as past President. Mrs. Holloway is married to Skip Holloway and has three children and eight grandchildren and currently resides in Thibodaux.
