Act 515

Act 515 is a program which was established in 2010 by the Louisiana Legislature and began during the 2011-12 school year.  The program provides families of eligible students with tuition assistance to attend approved schools offering exceptional needs programs. Participating families must live in parishes with a population of 190,000 or more (based on 2000 Census data, qualifying parishes include Caddo, East Baton Rouge, Jefferson, Lafayette, Orleans, and St. Tammany).

Families selected for participation were notified April 30, 2012.
